Ben Stewart lives in Melbourne, Australia and is a father, cyclist, runner and technology leader. If he isn’t cycling, running or taking family out to the nearest park he is working closely with organisations to help them develop innovative solutions and strategies in technology.
With a focus on innovation and emerging technologies Ben has worked in a range of sectors supporting small start-up style technology projects through to large complex developments in the corporate and government sectors.
His work includes working in the following sectors:
• Education – Higher Ed, VET Sectors, specialist medical training
• Membership – Unions, Professional associations etc
• Financial Services – Superannuation and Insurance
• Not for Profit – Large community based organisations
Recent work has included leveraging new technology (IoT, bots, AI, Data Science etc) across existing data and systems to improve customer/student/member experience and engagement and operational efficiencies.
Ben has developed a strong technical background over his career. With a strong understanding of a range of vendors and technologies. Roles have included research scientist, technical pre-sales support, consultant, CIO, developer/DBA, Systems/Network Administration, Enterprise Architect, Director and company founder.
With strong communication skills, Ben is able to clearly articulate complex technical projects to C level stakeholders through to end users, ensuring a clear understanding of the investment and expected outcomes.
Ben passionate about technology and its applications. He can take a new technology, work through the technical details and apply it to a business quickly to ensure that it has a significant positive impact on users and the organisation more widely.
Ben is passionate to share his experience across a wide range of subjects including; Technology, Science, mental health, cycling and running and family life.
